Ryne vs Phrasly

HumanFlow is not one of the two tools on this page. We make a competing product, so weigh this accordingly — our methodology sets out how we source competitor figures and what we refuse to claim.

Neither tells you how many words you get. One meters in a proprietary currency, the other says unlimited.

Why people compare these two

They come up together because both are pitched at people who found the better-known tools too expensive or too limited, and both are hard to evaluate for the same underlying reason: neither publishes the number that decides everything.

That shared opacity is the comparison. Everything else about them is ordinary.

What actually separates them

Ryne meters in Ryne coins — 10,000 a month on the entry plan, with a 750-word cap per request. A coin is a unit only Ryne defines, so the monthly allowance cannot be compared against any other tool without first learning what a coin buys, which is a conversion step every rival lets you skip.

Phrasly goes the other way and says unlimited humanization, with a 5,000-word cap per request. Unlimited is a commercial term rather than a technical one; it is bounded in practice by fair-use enforcement that is not published, which means the ceiling exists and is simply not stated.

On the numbers both do publish, Phrasly is the cheaper and the looser: $10.99 a month billed annually against Ryne's $19.99, and 5,000 words per request against 750. Ryne's free tier is 100 coins and English-only; Phrasly's is 300 humanization words.

Which to pick

Pick Ryne if you specifically want what Ryne's coin tiers buy and have worked out the conversion for your own use — its per-request cap of 750 words is the constraint to check first.

Pick Phrasly if you want the cheaper of the two and a per-request cap you can actually plan a document around, and you read unlimited as a marketing term rather than a guarantee.

The claim we won't compare on

Neither tool's ability to get text past an AI detector appears above, and it is not an oversight. No vendor can observe or control the systems such a claim is about, detectors change without notice and disagree with each other on identical text, and every published bypass rate in this category was produced by the company selling the tool it tested. We publish none for our own product either — see why we publish no bypass rates.
