Their Basic plan is 15,000 words a month for $6 billed annually, about $0.0004 a word. It also caps each request at 500 words, and their page states that plainly as the maximum text input per use.
Five hundred words is about a page and a half. A dissertation section, a long blog post or a full essay has to be cut into pieces, rewritten separately and stitched back together — and that stitching is exactly where register drifts and paragraphs stop agreeing with each other.
The cap disappears from their second tier up, where requests are unlimited. So the honest reading is that Basic is priced for short work and Pro at $10 a month billed annually is the plan for anything long. Compare against that one, not against the headline.
